It was a good day out for our St Kilda (1), who cruised past Frankston Peninsula (Heat) in Cricket Southern Bayside Women's.
Frankston Peninsula (Heat) set the target, making 8/151 from 35 overs. Our opponents' best with the bat was Sarai Knight, who made 45. Emma Miles grabbed two for 21. Donna Gouldthorp chipped in with two for 22.
In reply, the team reached the target at 2/152 in 30.5 overs. Teagan Broughton's 94 not out off 88 balls was a half-century to remember. Imogen Murphy provided good support with 23.
A well-deserved victory for the side.
Well done to everyone involved.
