There were smiles all round after our St Kilda 1st XI took care of Dandenong 1st XI with Ed Newman leading the way.
Over the course of the match we totalled 4/287, and Dandenong 1st XI 285. Ed Newman's 124 not out off 229 balls was a century to savour. Adam Crosthwaite made a cracking 87 not out off 138 balls, a well-made fifty.
Our best with the ball was Will Lovell, who took three for 66. James Seymour claimed three for 74 as well. The hosts' best was a half-century from Ryan Hammel, who made 77. Credit to Brett Forsyth, who made a half-century (54) for our opponents.
That's back-to-back wins for the team.
Onwards and upwards.
