It was a tough day out for our St Kilda 3rd XI, who came up short against Essendon 3rd XI on a frustrating day.
We batted first and finished with 8/132 on the board from 20 overs. Tom Deighton's 78 off 63 balls was a half-century to remember. Arin Mishra claimed three for 23 for Essendon 3rd XI.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 5/134 in 17 overs. Jessraj Badhaan was the top scorer for our opponents with 44. Aga Danish Hussain grabbed two for 16.
There were some polished individual efforts to build on. It's two defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back. On to the next one.
