Despite some good moments, our St Kilda 3rd XI were downed by Geelong 3rd XI on a day that didn't go our way.
Our innings: 10/150. Geelong 3rd XI's: 10/301. Gurbir Singh's 53 off 150 balls was a half-century to remember. Five wickets for Will Rodda of our opponents, who returned five for 30. There were three for 58 for Paawan Sharma.
Aga Danish Hussain grabbed three for 52. Tom Deighton finished with two for 65. Hamish Craig posted 68 for the hosts, a quality fifty.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Thanks to our opponents for the contest.
