It was smiles all round as our St Kilda 3rd XI were too good for Northcote 3rd XI at Ian Johnson Oval in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
Our bowlers restricted Northcote 3rd XI to 10/178 from 41.3 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Earl Dicesare, who made 52. With the ball, Walter Jackson did the damage, claiming three for 20 off eight overs. Aaron Harding offered good support with three for 26.
In reply, the boys reached the target at 5/182 in 35.5 overs. Fifty for Gurbir Singh, who finished with 55 not out off 62 balls. Dinuk de Silva carried on to an unbeaten 30 off 48 balls.
With wickets in hand, the chase was impressively managed.
The win makes it three in a row. Congratulations to the team on a terrific result.
