Despite some good moments, our St Kilda 4th XI were undone by Richmond 4th XI on Saturday at Ian Johnson Oval.
With the bat, we made 10/102; Richmond 4th XI made 143 and 4/210. Leading the way was Avneet Ghuman with 28 off 40 balls. Charlie Atkins also got among the runs with 26 off 54 balls. A five-wicket haul to Callum Power for our opponents (five for 23).
Ghuman was the pick of our bowlers with three for 25. Douglas Beckett added two for 12. Austin Bauer made a quality 61 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Ethan Stones passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 60.
Credit to the visitors, and well played.
