It was one to learn from for our St Kilda 3rd XI, who were undone by Melbourne University 3rd XI on Saturday in Kookaburra Men's Premier.
With the bat first up, we compiled 7/159 from 20 overs. Will Ashton's 35 off 27 balls was the highlight with the bat. Luke Ashen made 29 off 10 balls.
Melbourne University 3rd XI reached the target at 5/161 in 19.4 overs. Credit to Hugo Bienvenu, who made 40 for the hosts. The wickets were shared around, with Yuvraj Lidder taking two for 34.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. It's three defeats on the trot, and the team will be eager to bounce back.
Chins up, everyone.
